6 New Add-Ons on the Flightsim.to Store This Week

The Flightsim.to Store continues to expand its catalog of Microsoft Flight Simulator add-ons, with several new releases covering airports, city scenery, and environmental enhancements. This week’s selection includes detailed regional airports in the United States, a large Chinese international hub, an urban scenery upgrade for Milwaukee, and a global maritime traffic package designed to improve realism along two of the world’s most famous canals.

One of the more regionally focused releases is the ➡️ Milwaukee, Wisconsin City & Bridges Pack by Dfflyer Direct. Designed for both MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024, the scenery expands the default representation of Milwaukee with more than 120 handcrafted buildings and over 20 bridges. The package also introduces marinas, boats, and updated waterfront areas, which significantly improves the look of the city when flying along Lake Michigan or approaching nearby airports. Several new structures missing from the default simulator skyline have also been added, including the Northwestern Mutual Tower and The Couture development. Enhanced night lighting and PBR textures aim to improve the city’s appearance after sunset, while optimized models are intended to maintain stable performance even in dense urban areas. The scenery also includes a landable helipad at Ascension Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital, which may appeal to helicopter pilots exploring the city.

Airport-focused pilots receive a new regional hub with ➡️ KCAE – Columbia Metropolitan Airport by Glideslope Pro. Located about five miles southwest of downtown Columbia, South Carolina, KCAE serves as both a passenger airport and an important cargo base, particularly for UPS Airlines. The scenery recreates the airport with custom ground textures, accurate runway and taxiway layouts, and detailed terminal buildings. Interior modeling has been included to enhance the visual experience when parked at the gates. The developer also implemented animated vehicles and dynamic night lighting, which helps create a more active airport environment. The add-on is built specifically with MSFS 2024 features in mind, including improved lighting reflections, and aims to provide an up-to-date rendition of the airport based on current charts and data.

Beyond airports, ➡️ Project Coastline’s Panama/Suez Ships add-on targets environmental immersion on a global scale. The package introduces moving ship traffic through both the Panama Canal and the Suez Canal, with vessels traveling at approximately 15 knots and producing visible wake effects. Around 20 ships are active in each canal, while additional static vessels populate nearby ports to create a more convincing harbor environment. Animated container cranes and additional vegetation along the Panama Canal further enhance the scenery. The add-on is also compatible with the OrbX Panama scenery.

Another new airport scenery comes from UK2000 Scenery, which brings ➡️ KPSM – Portsmouth International Airport at Pease to Microsoft Flight Simulator. Located in New Hampshire, the airport has a long history that began as Portsmouth Municipal Airport in the 1930s before expanding during World War II. It later became Pease Air Force Base and remained active through the Cold War. After the base closed in 1991, the site transitioned into a joint civil-military airport. Today, it hosts the Pease Air National Guard Base, where KC-46A Pegasus aerial refueling aircraft operate, alongside civilian and cargo traffic. The airport’s single runway, measuring over 11,300 feet, allows for a wide variety of aircraft operations in the simulator. Airlines such as Allegiant Air and Breeze Airways operate low-cost routes from the airport.

Another major Chinese release this week is ➡️ ZSHC – Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport by SamScene3D. This scenery goes beyond the airport itself and also includes a substantial portion of Hangzhou city, which makes it one of the broader environment packages in this week’s lineup. The airport features detailed models of Terminals 1, 2, 3, and 4, along with custom ground markings, a modeled cargo area, and surrounding airport buildings. A simple terminal interior has also been included, which adds some depth for pilots operating from the gates without pushing the scenery too far into performance-heavy territory. Outside the airport boundary, the package adds more than 100 recognizable city landmarks, stadiums, stations, and other major structures, along with over 300 apartment buildings and the Hangzhou Bridge.

The final new release this week is ➡️ ZJHK – Haikou Meilan International Airport by SamScene3D, which brings the largest airport in China’s Hainan Province into the simulator. The scenery includes detailed models of both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, along with cargo areas and airport hangars. Ground markings and airport layout details have been recreated to match the real-world facility, while Terminal 2 features a moderately detailed interior for added realism at the gates. SamScene3D also expanded the surrounding environment by including more than 50 recognizable city landmarks and over 300 apartment buildings around Haikou. Custom movable jet bridges and extensive night lighting effects round out the airport environment.
