Aerosoft Previews A340-600 Pro for Microsoft Flight Simulator

Aerosoft has released new preview content for its upcoming A340-600 Pro add-on for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The project represents a collaboration with ToLiss, bringing their established X-Plane expertise to the platform. Fresh screenshots reveal detailed interior and exterior modeling, coupled with an official trailer demonstrating the aircraft's capabilities. The preview highlights advanced features including a custom Electronic Flight Bag system, over 300 failure simulations, and comprehensive flight dynamics.

New Screenshots Showcase Interior and Exterior Details

In January 2026, Aerosoft shared new work-in-progress screenshots on its social media channels, highlighting significant modeling progress on the A340-600 Pro for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The official trailer has now premiered on Aerosoft’s YouTube channel, showcasing the joint development project with ToLiss. The video presents the aircraft from multiple angles, featuring external views as well as detailed cabin and cockpit shots. It also highlights several onboard systems, including the Electronic Flight Bag, which may already be familiar to X-Plane users who have experience with ToLiss products.

Furthermore, the video demonstrates the taxi camera functionality, where the Primary Flight Display transforms to provide visual assistance during ground operations. The trailer furthermore confirms PDC/CPDLC connectivity support for VATSIM and IVAO network flights. Concurrent with the trailer release, Aerosoft lifted the embargo for content creators, clearing them to begin streaming the A340-600 Pro starting at 1300Z on March 7.

Systems Depth with 300 Failure Simulations

The aircraft features approximately 300 user-triggerable failures accessible through the EFB. Systems modeling occurs at the component level, simulating individual pumps, valves, actuators, and reservoirs. Failure coverage spans hydraulics, electrics, pneumatics, flight controls, and engines.

How Are Aerosoft and ToLiss Collaborating on This Project?

The partnership between Aerosoft and ToLiss operates on a clear division of labor that has been ongoing for over two years. Aerosoft handles all visual and artistic elements of the aircraft, encompassing the three-dimensional modeling, textures, and liveries. In particular, this includes cockpit instrumentation appearance, exterior surfaces, and cabin details. ToLiss carries full responsibility for aircraft systems and logic, managing everything from hydraulic calculations to flight management computer behavior. This separation enables each team to concentrate on their core competencies.

ToLiss enters this project with an established reputation in the X-Plane community for deep systems functionality. Their high-fidelity Airbus simulations set benchmarks for accuracy on that platform.

When Can Flight Simmers Expect the Release?

Aerosoft characterized the A340-600 Pro as entering its "final stage of descent". Despite reaching advanced stages, Aerosoft stated they remain not quite ready to announce a specific release date. Development progresses favorably, yet the team exercises caution about committing to firm timelines. ToLiss indicated on social media that the aircraft sits "almost ready for release", suggesting proximity to launch without confirming exact timing.
