Al Bateen Executive Recreated for Microsoft Flight Simulator

A new freeware scenery for Microsoft Flight Simulator brings Abu Dhabi’s Al Bateen Executive Airport to life. The add-on, now available on ➡️ Flightsim.to, provides a custom-built rendition of the airport from scratch.  Al Bateen Executive Airport is the region’s only dedicated business jet facility, located just a few kilometres from downtown Abu Dhabi. It serves as a hub for corporate and private aviation, with modern FBO services and easy access to the city’s central district and the nearby Corniche.

The scenery introduces a fully reworked airfield environment. It includes a custom-made control tower, office buildings, hangars, and dedicated fire and fuel service areas. Aprons and taxiways have been aligned with Navigraph charts, and new helipads have been added to the north side of the airport. Runway enhancements include the addition of PAPIs, approach and edge lighting, and accurate night illumination. The developer has also extended lighting to parts of the nearby city to enhance the night approach experience, as well as a custom-built stadium for additional visual context on arrival.

The scenery is designed to integrate seamlessly with other local freeware packages such as the Abu Dhabi Scenery by zinorules and the Etihad Towers by TigerCat. For anyone flying corporate or charter routes in the Gulf region, this scenery offers a substantial improvement over the stock airfield and creates a more believable executive aviation environment in Abu Dhabi. As with all freeware projects, if you enjoy this scenery, consider supporting the developer with a donation to encourage further work. You can ➡️ download Al Bateen Executive Airport for free.
