BarelliMSFSaddons Releases Abeid Amani Karume International
BarelliMSFSaddons has released a new payware airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator, Zanzibar Abeid Amani Karume International Airport - HTZA. Located on Unguja Island, Zanzibar, Tanzania, this airport is the main airport in the Zanzibar Archipelago and has flights to East Africa, Europe, and the Middle East. The airport was renamed in 2010 in honor of Abeid Amani Karume, the first president of the island.
The airport features two terminals, with Terminal 2 currently active for all landing aircraft. Terminal 1 is an inactive terminal, used during the British protectorate of Zanzibar and now used as an airport office. Construction of the third terminal started in January 2011, and the new terminal was inaugurated in September 2020 and started operation in early 2021. Terminal 3 serves international flights while Terminal 2 serves both domestic and some international flights.
BarelliMSFSaddons has done an excellent job of recreating Zanzibar Abeid Amani Karume International Airport in Microsoft Flight Simulator. The scenery features highly detailed 3D models, accurate terrain mapping, and stunning visual effects. The author has also included custom-made vegetation and accurate airport land side recreation with custom ground decals, signposts, and more.
