Daniel Field Airport (KDNL) in Augusta, Georgia, has long been a hub of regional general aviation. Its most notable period of activity comes every April during the Masters Tournament, when the normally quiet airfield sees a surge of business jet traffic. During this time, the airport’s control tower is temporarily staffed to manage the increased volume. Featuring two intersecting runways, RNAV approaches, and a location just a few miles from Augusta National, Daniel Field plays an important role in local aviation.

The new enhancement by cat3dual brings an accurate and up-to-date representation of Daniel Field to both Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024. Each version has been adapted to its respective platform, with the FS24 release making use of photogrammetry while the FS20 edition is tailored to satellite imagery. The scenery introduces a custom-built control tower and hangars positioned east of Runway 5/23, along with detailed airfield props such as the FAA L802A rotating beacon, segmented circle, and AWOS equipment. Airfield pavement has been reworked, lighting and signage accurately placed, and in the FS20 version, two recognizable fast-food restaurants at the northeast corner of the airport have also been modeled. Together, these details provide a more authentic experience when flying in and out of Augusta.

For simmers planning traffic-heavy operations during the Masters or those simply looking to add more realism to general aviation flying in Georgia, this scenery provides a notable improvement over the default version. Installation is straightforward by extracting the package into your Community folder. The enhancement is available as freeware on Flightsim.to here: ➡️ KDNL – Daniel Field Airport.
