City Update V: European Cities I Released

In a recent update to Microsoft Flight Simulator, City Update V: European Cities I has been released, offering a significant enhancement to several European cities. This update, a collaborative effort between Microsoft, Bing Maps, and Vexcel, introduces highly detailed and accurate representations of five key urban regions in Europe: The Hague (Netherlands), Brussels (Belgium), Košice (Slovakia), Zagreb (Croatia), and Cádiz (Spain). Each city has been modeled using the latest geographic information and TIN (Triangulated Irregular Network) surface modeling to achieve the highest visual fidelity.

The Hague, Netherlands: Known as the home of the International Criminal Court and the International Court of Justice, The Hague presents a variety of sights, including the Peace Palace, a number of international legal institutions, Het Strijkijzer (The Flatiron), and the Hoftoren (Court Tower). Brussels, Belgium: This city has a history dating back to the 10th century and is situated in the Senne River Valley. It features a mix of architectural styles, including the Royal Theatre of La Monnaie, the Church of Our Lady of Laeken, and the National Basilica of the Sacred Heart.

Košice, Slovakia: As the second-largest city in Slovakia, Košice boasts a blend of classic and modern architecture. Notable sites include the Cathedral of St. Elizabeth, the Business Center Košice, and the Urban Tower.  Zagreb, Croatia: The capital city of Croatia, located along the Sava River, offers a visual mosaic of classic and modern styles. Highlights include the Croatian National Theater, Ban Jelačić Square, and the Cibona Tower. Cádiz, Spain: One of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in Western Europe, Cádiz is famous for its seaside backdrop and well-preserved architecture. Key features include Casa de Iberoamérica del Ayuntamiento de Cádiz, the Cádiz Cathedral, and the ruins of the Roman Theatre of Cádiz.

City Update V: European Cities I is available for free on the in-sim Marketplace for all owners of Microsoft Flight Simulator.
