Flight Replicas Releases DC-4 Skymaster and B-24 Liberator

Flight Replicas has granted permission for community conversions of two of its classic aircraft originally developed for FSX and Prepar3D: the ➡️ Douglas DC-4/C-54 Skymaster and the ➡️ Consolidated B-24 Liberator. Both aircraft are now available as freeware for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

These releases bring two historically significant aircraft into the modern Microsoft Flight Simulator environment. The DC-4 and its military counterpart, the C-54, were essential in the post-war expansion of global air travel and served as reliable workhorses in both civilian and military roles. The B-24 Liberator, one of the most widely produced bombers of the Second World War, remains an iconic aircraft of aviation history.

Flight Replicas has clarified that these conversions were not carried out by the developer itself, nor were they commissioned. Instead, they are unofficial projects by community members who have reworked the FSX/P3D models for compatibility with Microsoft Flight Simulator. As a result, you should expect some anomalies and non-functional features compared to native aircraft. Despite these limitations, both aircraft are reported to be flyable and “very useable”.

As Flight Replicas confirmed it will not revisit these aircraft for Microsof Flight Simulator development, this conversion represents a unique opportunity to fly them in the platform. You can download the DC-4 Skymaster ➡️ here and the B-24 Liberator ➡️ here.
