Welcome to the grand announcement of the Flightsim Mod Awards 2023 Winners. Last year, we've witnessed countless exceptional contributions from talented modders worldwide. Your creativity and dedication have enriched the world of flight simulation, providing us with unforgettable flying experiences, which we are all thankful for. Before we announce the winners, we want to thank all participants and the community.  Last year has been an incredible journey. We've sifted through all the nominations, and only six per category have made it to the finals. The task was challenging, not just because of the high quality of the mods but also due to the sheer volume of submissions. It's impossible to highlight every mod uploaded to our platform, but we are immensely grateful for this abundance of creativity and participation.

Best Aircraft Modification

In the category "Best Aircraft Modification" we honor the cream of the crop in aircraft enhancements. This category celebrates the top-notch aircraft mods that have redefined the way you take to the virtual skies. Among the six final candidates, the grand winner is: Horizon Simulations Airbus A320ceo - for LatinVFR A320 with 25.49% of all votes! Originally created by Horizon Simulations, this mod has started to take share with a lot more accurate characteristics for an A320 as originallly intended by LatinVFR. The Horizon Simulations Airbus A320 Mod introduces a variety of advanced features designed to enhance the flight simulation experience. Congratulations!

Best Scenery Mod

In the category of "Best Scenery Mod" we have asked for the mod that has transformed your flight simulator's landscapes and made your flights visually unforgettable. The grand winner in this category is: We Love VFR - Region 3 by Community Creator PuffinFlight with 43.39% of all votes! Do you like flying VFR and watching the World below you? Do you sometimes feel that something is missing? We Love VFR is here to help you. We Love VFR is a free add-on for Microsoft Flight Simulator that adds thousands of new VFR-friendly objects. In this version, you get communication, radio, and tv antennas, chimneys, cooling towers, radar domes, construction cranes, and satellite/radio telescope dishes, large crosses and a lot more! Best Livery Mod

In the category of "Best Livery Mod" we have asked you to vote for the mod that has given your aircraft a unique and stylish appearance - perhaps as realistic as it gets! The grand winner in this category is: Horizon Simulations Boeing 787-9 Livery Package by Horizon Simulations with 26.85% of all votes! This package brings more than 30 real life liveries with incredible attention to details to your Horizon Simulations Boeing aircraft. Congratulations!

Must Have Utility Mod

In the category of "Must-Have Utility Mod" we award most practical and helpful utility modifications for your flight simulator, a mod that has improved your sim experience with its useful features and enhancements. The grand winner in this category is: SimBrief Panel by Community Creator FlyingArt with 42.05% of all votes! The SimBrief Panel for Microsoft Flight Simulator is a toolbar widget designed to enhance the flight simulation experience. It allows users to display the latest SimBrief flight plan directly within the simulator. This is particularly useful for those with a single monitor setup or using virtual reality. In this category the grand winner is: Horizon Simulations Boeing 787-9 by Horizon Simulations with 59.83% of all votes! The grand winner in this category is: Horizon Simulations Boeing 787-9 by Horizon Simulations again with 45.51% of all votes! Congratulations on the second award.

Best Standalone Aircraft

In the category of "Best Standalone Aircraft" we asked you to recognize the top standalone aircraft mod in the flight simulation community, the aircraft that has set new standards in realism, performance, and overall enjoyment. In the category of "Best Payware Product" we highlight the finest payware product in the flight simulation world. The best scenery creator who has crafted immersive and visually stunning environments is: superspud with 27.94% of all votes! Superspud has contributed a variety of scenery upgrades for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Their uploads include enhancements to regional airports, landscapes, helipads, and international airports across various locations like the United Kingdom, Falkland Islands, and the United States. Congratulations!

Best Livery Creator

In the category of "Best Livery Creator" we applaud the artistic talent behind the most eye-catching aircraft liveries. The best livery creator who has given your aircraft a unique and stylish appearance is: Atarium with 36.21% of all votes! Atarium offers a wide range of custom liveries for various aircraft models in Microsoft Flight Simulator. These liveries include realistic recreations of real-world airline designs, unique and creative custom liveries, and historical or special edition liveries. Congratulations!

Mod of The Year 2023

Last but not least, time has come to award the Mod of the Year 2023. The prize goes to the mod that has truly taken your experience to extraordinary heights. Whether it's an awe-inspiring aircraft modification, a breathtaking scenery upgrade, or a game-changing utility mod, this award recognizes excellence and innovation. The winner of the Flightsim Mod of the Year 2023 category is: Horizon Simulations Boeing 787 by Horizon Simulations with 57.35% of all votes! With more than 55.000 Downloads and an average rating of 4.5 out of 5, this mod has become one of the most wanted and anticipated airliner add-ons of the year 2023. Congratulations to your award!
