FLY2High KMFE McAllen Miller International Airport: A Gateway to South Texas
FLY2High has recently added a new airport to its portfolio on Flightsim.to - the KMFE McAllen Miller International Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator (MSFS). The airport, located at an elevation of 107 feet, spreads across 370 acres in the city of McAllen, Texas. It features two asphalt runways: 14/32 measuring 7,120 by 150 feet and 18/36 measuring 2,639 by 60 feet. Significant to note is the engineered materials arrestor system (EMAS) installed at the runway 14 approach end, which was a part of the airport's master plan updates back in November 2015. Looking ahead, the 20-year Master Plan for MFE reveals the extension of runway 14/32 to 10,000 ft and the addition of a parallel runway, along with an expanded cargo apron on the south side of the airport.
Available since October 28, 2023, this release encapsulated in version 1.0, occupies 1.4 GiB of installation space with a download size of 1.39 GB. While the product page on Flightsim.to didn’t delve into the detailed features of this rendition, the meticulous representation of the airport's layout, runways, and the surrounding environment can be anticipated, based on the established standards of FLY2High. FLY2High has been known for its dedication to bringing various international and regional airports to the Microsoft Flight Simulator. Their endeavor to replicate real-world airports, adhering to the minute details, has always been appreciated by the simulation community.
