Video: FlyByWire Previews Freeware Airbus A380

FlyByWire, an established name within the flight simulation community, has made significant strides in their long-anticipated project - the Airbus A380 for Microsoft Flight Simulator.  FlyByWire has provided the community with a comprehensive demonstration video, highlighting the features and functionalities of the Airbus A380. This video displays the aircraft in various stages of flight, including startup, taxiing, takeoff, cruising, landing, and shutdown.

The Airbus A380 cockpit hosts a myriad of features, for example, the video showcases the Electronic Flight Bag (EFB), which controls ground vehicles and aircraft operations. This includes failure settings, checklists, and aircraft settings. The attention to detail extends to the system displays in the cockpit, which include electrical systems, pressurization systems, fuel systems, hydraulic systems, and landing gear. These displays are fully interactive.

While FlyByWire has made significant progress with the Airbus A380, they continue to refine and enhance its features. The team has plans to include a performance calculator in future updates, providing pilots with additional tools for planning and executing flights. As we await its release, we can only look forward to the unique freeware experience it promises to offer.
