FlyByWire Releases Updates for A32NX Virtual Cockpit

FlyByWire Simulations has announced a significant update to their A320 mod for Microsoft Flight Simulator, focusing on a comprehensive overhaul of the virtual cockpit. This update, currently available in the development version of the mod, introduces a new 3D model for the cockpit, addressing several issues and improving proportions in areas like the glareshield, front bezel, and overhead.

These images have been provided by SCTR311, Capt Wozza and Plasma2045 on the FlyByWire Discord Server. The update further includes various improvements to the aircraft software. Key enhancements involve a new view for the First Officer (F/O) and adjustments to the Captain's view to align with the new flyPad orientation. In the overhead section, the LEDs for the fire buttons have been separated according to power supply, and the “NO SMOKING” selection now displays a “NO PED Label”. Additionally, the update introduces warnings for retracted landing gears, including a red arrow on the panel.

Last but not least, the update addresses noticeable issues in aircraft modeling, replacing overhead decals and making general improvements to the 3D model and textures. Notably, foldable armrests have been implemented. As usual, the update is accessible via the FlyByWire Installer app, provided users select the appropriate version.
