Fokker F27-MK 500 Freeware Released for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020

A new standalone aircraft add-on for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 brings the Fokker F27-MK 500 to virtual pilots, modeled in the distinct Air Inter configuration. The Fokker F27, often celebrated as one of the most successful turboprop airliners of its era, is known for its reliability and versatility in regional aviation. The Fokker F27-MK500, part of the Fokker F27 Friendship family, is a twin-engine turboprop regional airliner designed and manufactured by the Dutch aircraft company Fokker. The freeware release by Bgaurant aims to recreate the specific setup used by Air Inter, the now-defunct French airline that played a significant role in domestic aviation during its operational years.

The add-on offers two versions of the cockpit, both tailored to the Air Inter configuration with the inclusion of the Tapir autopilot system. One version of the cockpit replicates the original French language setup, staying true to the authentic configuration used by Air Inter.  At this time, the developer has noted that the add-on has not been tested with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, so users planning to transition to the newer simulator should keep this in mind.
