Freeware: Aeroporto Bartolomeu de Gusmão Now Available

Located in the interior of São Paulo state, Aeroporto Bartolomeu de Gusmão serves the city of Araraquara and its surrounding macroregion. With a single 1800-meter asphalt runway (17/35), the airport accommodates a mix of commercial, private, and charter aviation. Azul Linhas Aéreas currently operates a daily commercial flight to the airport using a Cessna Caravan. Araraquara itself is an economically active city, home to key Brazilian industries such as LUPO and Cutrale, a major global exporter of orange juice.

The new freeware scenery for Bartolomeu de Gusmão is now available for Microsoft Flight Simulator, created by florencioluan. This is the creator’s first scenery project to include 3D modeling, representing the current layout and features of the airport. The developer notes that the scenery was developed using photographic and satellite references, and some elements may differ from real-world details. However, the scenery aims to provide a functional and visually recognizable version of the airport as it exists today.

Further updates are planned as more detailed information becomes available. The scenery is now available for free. If you find this add-on useful, consider supporting the developer through a donation.
