Freeware Aircraft: The Scrapyard Monster now available

Community Creator LordFrites, under the name "Flying Fries", has unleashed a groundbreaking freeware aircraft called "The Scrapyard Monster" that defies conventional design. This fictional creation is an extraordinary amalgamation of random scrapyard objects powered by a breathtaking Cosworth/Aston Martin V12 engine, generating over 1000 HP. With its versatility and jaw-dropping performance, this bush plane promises exhilarating low and slow flights, aerobatics, and high-speed adventures. Let's delve into the details and discover the marvels that await within this exceptional aircraft.

The Scrapyard Monster packs a punch with an astonishing 1160 horsepower and up to 2700 N.m of torque. Despite its unconventional origins, the aircraft's total empty weight stands at 830 kgs (1830 lbs). Cruise speeds can range from 50 to 220 knots, while the speed never exceeds 250 knots. This versatile aircraft can climb rapidly, reaching a ceiling altitude of 37,000 feet. Whether you're exploring short runways, landing on carriers, or executing thrilling aerobatic maneuvers, "The Scrapyard Monster" guarantees an adrenaline-fueled experience. Prepare to be immersed in an aircraft that leaves no detail untouched. LordFrites has incorporated countless references and Easter eggs into the two liveries included with the aircraft.  With 4K to 8K PBR textures and custom instruments, every aspect of this aircraft's visuals is crafted to perfection.

The aircraft boasts a comprehensive range of features, including a dual VOR/ILS navigation system, a set of dimmable and switchable interior and exterior lights, and external static items such as "remove before flight" tags, covers, and tie-downs. Every switch is fully functional, and the compact MFD (Multi-Function Display) provides vital information such as fuel predictions, radar altimeter readings, live power and torque visualization, magnetic heading and track, and more. Additionally, a Garmin touchscreen tablet with map, flight plans, and synthetic vision enhances your navigational experience. The aircraft utilizes the modern Asobo fuel system and features a windshield with rain effects, scratches, and more. With 26 working circuit breakers, 30+ custom sounds, and in-game checklists, the attention to detail is truly remarkable.
