Freeware Cessna T206H Updated to Version 1.2

The Cessna T206H, often referred to as the "SUV of the skies" is a versatile and reliable aircraft known for its rugged performance and adaptability. Its powerful 300 hp turbocharged Lycoming TIO-540-AJ1A engine and spacious interior make it suitable for a wide variety of missions, from passenger transport to cargo hauling. With the ability to operate from smaller airfields and carry up to 1,320 lbs of useful load, the T206H has become a favorite among pilots who value both performance and practicality.

The freeware Cessna T206H add-on for Microsoft Flight Simulator, created by the developer "sal1800" has recently been updated to version 1.2, bringing significant improvements and new features to enhance the virtual flying experience. This update introduces the amphibious model Additionally, the update includes various avionics customizations. Key updates in version 1.2 include enhanced rudder effectiveness to improve slip behavior, brighter and more adjustable overhead flood lights, and a newly added map light control on the yoke.  The update also addresses several system issues, such as fixing the nosewheel castering and improving the HSI function and attitude indicator response.

In terms of the 3D model, the update introduces various mesh corrections, additional details like custom emblems on the yokes, and an option to show pilot and copilot models in cockpit views. The texturing has also been refined, with improved panel and glareshield textures, enhanced GPS and radio textures, and updated livery stripes. A dirt layer has been added to the fuselage, which now retains its state between flights, adding a touch of realism to the aircraft's appearance.
