KRDG - Reading Regional Airport serves as a key aviation hub in southeastern Pennsylvania, located about 50 miles northwest of Philadelphia. Named after World War II General Carl Spaatz, this historic airport has a rich past, dating back to its opening in 1939. Initially, the airport welcomed regular airline services in 1941 with TWA, which was briefly interrupted during World War II when it became Reading Army Air Base. After the war, Reading Regional resumed commercial operations, with TWA establishing a flight school and Colonial Airlines launching routes to Washington and Montreal. The airport also became known for the Reading Air Show, which grew into one of the world's largest air shows by the 1970s, second only to the Paris Air Show. Although regular airline services have ceased, Reading Regional remains an active general aviation center. It is also home to the Mid Atlantic Air Museum, which is located at the north end of the field and hosts a popular World War II weekend each June, attracting vintage military and civilian aircraft from across the country.

A new add-on created by alanr492 brings Reading Regional Airport to life with custom-built models of all the airport's structures and some nearby buildings. This add-on offers an accurate representation of the airport, though some details, such as the aircraft displayed on the Mid Atlantic Air Museum ramp, are approximations due to the limitations of available models. The developer has expressed intentions to update these details as their modeling skills improve.

This add-on requires several dependencies to function correctly, including the UK2000 Common Library, MSFS Object Library, Animated Human 3D Models Library, Totof aircraft library, and Ethnicfs Vegetation Library. For more information and to download the add-on, visit the Reading Regional Airport (KRDG) add-on page.
