Freeware for Krems Airfield in Austria Released

Situated near the town of Krems, Krems Airfield is a popular hub for flight training, glider operations, and serves as a base for sightseeing flights over the Danube or towards the Austrian Alps. Additionally, the ÖAMTC operates a helipad at the airfield for search and rescue missions. Developed in collaboration with Troglodytus, littlekrg's recent release aims to provide a realistic rendition of Krems Airfield with high-resolution PBR textures and accurate terrain modeling. The runways, taxiways, apron areas, and markings are closely aligned with real-world AIP charts. The developers have also included custom taxiway signs, apron and runway lighting, as well as detailed night lighting.

The airfield also features a modeled tower interior, a functional helipad, and a hangar from which you can start your flight in a cold and dark state. The inclusion of custom static aircraft, 3D-modeled people, and various environmental details further enhances the realism of this scenery. This freeware add-on requires “Mikea’s AssetPack” to ensure full detail visibility.

You can download the add-on now for free from Flightsim.to. If you enjoy the scenery, consider supporting the creator to encourage future developments.
