Freeware Jackson Hole Airport Updated for FS2024

Jackson Hole Airport, located in the heart of Grand Teton National Park, has been available as a freeware add-on for Microsoft Flight Simulator and has now been updated to include a native version specifically for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. Known for being the only commercial airport in the United States situated within a national park, Jackson Hole (KJAC) presents a unique flying experience with its short runway and dramatic mountain surroundings, making for both scenic and technically demanding approaches.

The scenery developed by StratusSim brings a faithful recreation of the airport, incorporating recent updates as of March 2024. The terminal building has been modeled, including interior details, and is complemented by custom night lighting and environmental touches such as hand-crafted trees and plants. The airport layout includes accurate road networks, parking areas, and taxiways. Compatibility with third-party ATC software like BeyondATC is noted, and you can optionally enhance realism by installing static aircraft through FSLTL, although this will occupy some gates.

Version 1.2 introduces a native MSFS 2024 version, offering improved terminal level-of-detail models, updated ground service vehicles, and additional parked cars to enhance the airport's liveliness. The scenery remains a work in progress, with planned expansions including more custom building models such as the FBO. You can download the Jackson Hole Airport scenery for free from Flightsim.to.
