Freeware Odate-Noshiro Airport Released

Odate-Noshiro Airport (RJSR) is a regional facility located in the northern part of Akita Prefecture, Japan. Known for its distinctive arched terminal roof, the airport serves as a gateway to the Shirakami-Sanchi mountain range and other local attractions. In Microsoft Flight Simulator, the addition of this airport offers you the opportunity to explore a lesser-known yet visually unique Japanese airport within the sim.

Thr freeware add-on recreates Odate-Noshiro with attention to its signature architecture and overall airport layout. The developer has released separate versions for both MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024. For users with Navigraph installed, there may be an ILS misalignment. A temporary workaround is provided: MSFS 2020 users are instructed to edit their content.xml file to prioritize the airport scenery appropriately, while MSFS 2024 users should reinstall the Simulator Base Packages through the Navigraph Hub.

The scenery utilizes assets from the “msfs-orange-materials” library for runway and apron markings. You can download the Odate-Noshiro Airport add-on for free on Flightsim.to.
