Freeware PWDT Yakovlev Yak-18T Released

The PWDT Yakovlev Yak-18T is a classic four- or five-seat fully aerobatic utility aircraft, originally introduced to train Aeroflot pilots. The Yak-18T, developed in the late 1960s, played a pivotal role in aviation training and service. It was standard equipment in Aeroflot flight schools and also served in small numbers with the Soviet Air Force. The aircraft is distinguished by its heavy yet strong construction, aerobatic capabilities, and responsive handling characteristics​​.

The Microosft Flight Simulator version released by Community Creator zlin142 is a conversion from the X-Plane model, optimized for the best framerates and easiest usage. However, it should be noted that some systems may not fully match the original aircraft due to the use of generic Microsoft Flight Simulator simvars. Currently, the sounds for the Yak-18T are borrowed from the T-6 Texan (Reno Air Race Expansion), as the original sounds could not be converted due to technical limitations​​.
