Lézignan-Corbières Airport Released for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024

A new rendition of Lézignan-Corbières Airport (LFMZ) has been released for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 by Laserjet, bringing a complete recreation of this small yet active aerodrome in southern France. Located in the Aude department between Narbonne and Carcassonne, Lézignan-Corbières serves as a hub for general aviation, skydiving, and aeromodelling under visual flight rules. The airport is managed by the municipality and has been public property since 2007.

The airfield features two parallel east-west runways: a 1,000-meter asphalt runway (08/26) and a 1,000-meter grass strip 100 meters wide. It operates as an uncontrolled airfield with AFIS service on 121.200 MHz. A weather station operated by Météo France has been located at the site since 1990, and several aviation-related businesses and associations make the aerodrome a focal point for regional aviation activities.

The new scenery for MSFS2024 represents a complete rebuild of the airport environment. All structures and facilities have been recreated in Blender, including hangars, aprons, taxiways, company buildings, signage, lighting, and even cameras placed around the field. Every business present on the real aerodrome — such as Air Occitanie, Aerocsport11, Aéro-Styll, ChutExtrem, FlyZone, and Languedoc Aviation — is depicted. The result is a highly detailed and cohesive representation of a community airfield that supports a wide range of aviation and leisure activities, from ultralight flying to skydiving.

The package also includes the laserjet-occitania-cars library, which must be placed in your Community folder. Several external dependencies are required for full functionality: the Animated Human 3D Models Library, the Emerald Object Library, and Windy Things, all available on Flightsim.to.

Laserjet’s work stands out for being built natively with the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 SDK, making use of the new engine’s rendering and lighting capabilities to deliver a contemporary, realistic depiction of the airport and its surroundings.
