Marine RM has released the FB-22 Strike Raptor for Microsoft Flight Simulator, offering you the opportunity to experience a conceptual stealth bomber that never made it past the drawing board. Based on Lockheed Martin’s proposed FB-22 design from the early 2000s, this add-on imagines what the aircraft might have been had it entered service in the 2010s as a stealthy, long-range strike variant of the F-22 Raptor.
The version recreated here is the FB-22-2 variant, characterized by its delta wing configuration and single-seat cockpit. Marine RM’s model brings this unbuilt aircraft to life with a detailed and functional cockpit, a custom flight model, and an array of interactive systems. The aircraft includes Ground Power Unit (GPU) interaction, full Cold & Dark start procedures, and functional bomb bay animations. While the simulated weapons such as AIM-9s, AIM-120s, and JDAMs are visual-only, they contribute to the aircraft’s authentic military aesthetic.

Fifteen liveries are included, covering a range of speculative and historical paint schemes such as VX-4 Evaluators, SEA camouflage, and the 66th Aggressor Squadron’s multicolor livery. Marine RM has provided detailed operating guidance, including startup procedures and autopilot setup. The custom autopilot requires input confirmation via dedicated ENT and CLR buttons, allowing for realistic control over altitude, speed, and heading.
Attention has also been given to aerodynamic handling. Above 300 knots, the air brake automatically deploys when the throttle is fully reduced, aiding deceleration. During landings, the brake system automatically engages if the parking brake is set at touchdown. Manual override is possible at any stage of flight.
