M'M Simulations Releases Kavala International Airport

Located in Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, Kavala International Airport (LGKV) serves as a regional hub on the northern Aegean coast of Greece. Though it handles a modest volume of air traffic, the airport plays a vital role in connecting the region with major Greek cities and European destinations, particularly during the summer season. Its coastal setting and terrain-influenced approaches present a distinct experience for general aviation and commercial pilots alike.

M'M Simulations has released a new rendition of Kavala International Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator, which aims to represent the airfield with a high level of detail and accuracy. The terminal building and control tower have been modeled in 3D to reflect their real-world counterparts, including detailed interiors in the terminal. The surrounding airside environment features realistic terrain shaping and slope adaptation, which are essential to accurately portraying the airport’s natural setting. The runway, taxiways, and apron have been handcrafted to match the airport’s current layout. Ground textures are rendered in high resolution and make use of PBR materials to enhance visual quality in various lighting conditions.

The scenery also includes custom vegetation and environmental detailing to represent the coastal and mountainous surroundings. Enhanced night lighting has been added to support more immersive operations during low-light hours, and performance has been optimized to ensure stable frame rates across different system configurations. The scenery is fully compatible with both Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024.  If you’re interested in exploring this lesser-known destination in northern Greece, you can find ⭐ Kavala International Airport by M'M Simulations on Flightsim.to.
