New Freeware Release: SZD-30 Pirat Glider

The SZD-30 Pirat, a classic Polish 15-meter class wood-constructed glider, is now available for Microsoft Flight Simulator. First flown in 1966, the Pirat is known for its safety and impressive glide ratio of 31, making it a popular choice for beginner pilots. Its design primarily used wood, a common material in glider construction at the time - over 800 units were built. The initial version of this addon, V1.0, might be modest, but it's a labor of love, reflecting over 400 hours of dedicated work. The version features 11 skins from 5 different countries.

There are plans for future enhancements, including cockpit improvements, sound additions, and instrument options. Special thanks are due to Madolo B21 for the custom Vario code and assistance in bringing the Pirat to life. If you enjoy this new glider by Yanosik, consider leaving them a donation!
