Pilot Experience Sim has released Rijeka Airport (LDRI) for both Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024, offering a detailed take on the Croatian regional hub. Located on the island of Krk, 17 kilometers from Rijeka city, this airport primarily serves low-cost carriers connecting the region to destinations across the European Union. Known for its scenic approach over the Adriatic Sea, the airport provides a unique flying experience, particularly during the summer months when seasonal traffic increases.
Their new add-on features a new AFCAD for 2025 and aims to closely mirror the real-world layout and structure of the airport. You will find a custom ground poly built using the latest MSFS tools, with high-definition textures and PBR materials applied throughout the airside and landside elements. Airport buildings are custom designed with detailed interiors, and various animated objects — including hangar doors and ambient animations — bring additional life to the scenery.
The airport includes custom static models such as a Mil Mi-8, F-84 aircraft, and a firefighter training carcass, along with local landmarks like the INA factory and Omisalj camping site. Airport lighting has also been customized, with dynamic spotlights and enhanced night textures, including HIALS and guard lights.
