PMDG has officially launched the Boeing 777F for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, bringing one of the most versatile freighters in global aviation to the simulator. Available now for $54.99 on PMDG.com, the 777F offers a rich cargo-hauling experience for long and short-haul operations alike. Building on PMDG's established 777 simulation technology, the 777F is a standalone product designed specifically for freight enthusiasts. With over 30 liveries representing operators worldwide, the package integrates smoothly with popular tools such as Navigraph, simBrief, and GSX, enhancing realism for virtual cargo flights. The centerpiece of the 777F experience is its faithfully reproduced main deck cargo door system, complete with operational controls on both the supernumerary control panel and main deck cargo door control panel. Additionally, the aircraft’s interior lighting system has been modeled to replicate real-world configurations.

The PMDG 777F is the second release in a planned series of four 777 variants for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. It functions independently of other PMDG 777 products. Its inclusion of the PMDG Universal Flight Tablet, online documentation, and multiple failure simulation options underscores the depth and versatility of this release.
Compatibility with MSFS 2024
At this time, the 777F is only compatible with MSFS 2020. PMDG has indicated that development for MSFS 2024 compatibility is awaiting updates to the simulator's WASM framework, expected in upcoming patches from Microsoft/Asobo. When the native MSFS 2024 version becomes available, PMDG plans to offer it as a free upgrade for current owners of the 777F, pending policy confirmation from Microsoft. For current owners of the MSFS 2020 version, PMDG has committed to offering a free upgrade to the MSFS 2024 version, subject to policy confirmation from Microsoft. PMDG has clarified that this free upgrade path applies to customers who purchase directly from PMDG.com or the Microsoft Marketplace, provided no unforeseen restrictions arise from marketplace policies.

Future Enhancements
PMDG has also announced a micro-update for the 777-300ER to align its build with the 777F. Additionally, new features leveraging the capabilities of MSFS 2024 are planned for future updates once the platform's development environment is fully accessible. If you’re ready to embark on global cargo operations, the 777F is now available for purchase at PMDG.com. Freeware Content Creators have already started uploading add-ons on Flightsim.to.
