The Port of Hamburg, one of Europe’s largest and most iconic harbor areas, has been brought to life in Microsoft Flight Simulator with a freeware add-on by SimDocks. Covering a 5-kilometer stretch (3 nautical miles) of the north bank of the River Elbe and parts of the south bank, this hand-crafted scenery captures the bustling essence of this historic port with remarkable detail. This add-on includes recreated port facilities, such as the Stage Musical Theater, the German Port Museum featuring the sailing ship Peking, and Blom & Voss shipyard’s Docks 10 and 11. Key landmarks such as the Köhlbrand Bridge, the Moorburg power station, and the Steinwerder cruise terminal are also modeled.

In addition to these architectural features, the scenery is populated with numerous static ship models. It is also fully compatible with the popular GAIST (Global AI Ship Traffic) mod, enabling moving ship traffic for a more dynamic simulation experience. With over 20,000 individual objects placed throughout the area, this add-on sets a high standard for freeware sceneries. It is important to deactivate or remove any other existing sceneries of the Port of Hamburg to avoid conflicts. Detailed installation instructions are included in the download package, available in both German and English. Compatibility for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 has not been confirmed yet.

This add-on is a fantastic enhancement for anyone flying in the Hamburg area. If you enjoy this freeware scenery, consider supporting SimDocks by leaving a positive review or a donation to show appreciation for their hard work. You can download the add-on here.
