PZL An-28 / M28 Bryza Freeware Released
The PZL An-28 / M28 Bryza is a twin-engine turboprop aircraft that first took to the skies in the late 1970s. It was designed as a light transport and commuter aircraft, offering seating for up to 18 passengers or a cargo payload of 2000kg (4400 lbs). The aircraft was manufactured by PZL-Mielec, a Polish aerospace company renowned for its high-quality aviation products. The freeware mod, created by Community Creator NightIntruder, is a port-over from FSX to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, featuring several enhancements compared to the original version. This release is a labor of love from the developer and may have imperfections or bugs due to the porting process.
The mod currently includes four different models of the An-28, each featuring 16 liveries. All models in this package are equipped with TWD10/PZL10S engines, and you can choose between a 3-blade АВ-24АН propeller or a 5-blade Hartzell propeller (primarily an aesthetic change at the moment). In terms of audio, the mod incorporates custom samples of the TWD10 engine, along with effect sounds from FSX. These have been skillfully mixed with the KingAir 350i sound package and sound.xml, providing an immersive auditory experience during your flights.
The developer behind the PZL An-28/M28 Bryza mod expresses a desire to continue improving the aircraft, particularly in the area of flight model configuration (FM). However, major changes such as altering the model mesh or upscaling textures are not currently within the scope of this project. As such, this release is likely to be the first and final major version of the addon. NightIntruder also hints at the possibility of a future native version, built from scratch, but emphasizes that it would be an entirely different and lengthy undertaking.
