Atmos CORE is built around three modular editors: Weather, Atmosphere, and Enviro. The Weather module lets you influence how live weather is displayed, adjusting factors such as cloud depiction and intensity through real-time tuning. The Atmosphere module provides detailed control over Rayleigh scattering, phase functions, and horizon behavior, allowing you to sculpt the sky’s depth and color. Meanwhile, the Enviro module focuses on global tone and color balance, with per-channel RGB controls for fine adjustments. Combined with the new Particulate Simulation Engine, which introduces haze, dust, pollution, and fog effects, these tools offer an unprecedented level of atmospheric customization in MSFS 2024.
Preset management is another central feature. You can save and share your preferred atmospheric settings, automatically load them at startup, and back them up both locally and to the cloud. This makes it easy to migrate configurations across devices or restore them after updates. REX has also confirmed planned integration with its upcoming Weather CORE product. Importantly, Atmos CORE has been designed as a non-destructive tool.
