The Saint-Chamond L’Horme Airfield (LFHG) is a small civil aerodrome located in the Loire department of France, around 2.5 kilometers northeast of Saint-Chamond. Nestled in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, the airfield sits at an altitude of 1,307 feet and features a 700-meter grass runway, making it a hub for local general aviation and microlight activity. The airfield is primarily used for leisure and tourism flights and is equipped with a 100LL fuel station and an auto-information frequency of 130.500 MHz.

The freeware scenery package by DOMTOM69 brings Saint-Chamond L’Horme Airfield into Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 with a dedicated version built specifically for the updated platform. The most recent update, version 24.1.1, released on March 28, 2025, introduces several refinements including terraforming corrections, removal of a hedge in front of the tower, and the addition of restaurant and model aircraft tables. The initial MSFS 2024 release, version 24.1.0, brought a number of updates from its predecessor, including revised vegetation using the simulator’s 2024 assets, a newly designed tarmac with realistic ground markings, five parking stands including a fuel parking spot, and a fully modeled fuel station. Additional elements such as a weather station, model aircraft runway, accurate lighting and wind indicators (using the required Grass Runway Marking Library), and various decorative objects from the MSFS SDK complete the upgrade.

To use the scenery properly, you’ll need to install the “Marking of airfields with grass runways” library, version 1.6 or later, available on Flightsim.to. You can download the LFHG Saint-Chamond L’Horme scenery for free on Flightsim.to. If you enjoy the add-on, consider supporting the creator, DOMTOM69, to encourage continued development.
