Sierrasim Simulation has released a new version of El Alto International Airport (SLLP) for Microsoft Flight Simulator, compatible with both MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024. El Alto, located near La Paz, Bolivia, is recognized as one of the world’s highest international airports. Its aviation history dates back to 1913, when early airfield developments began in the area known as Nuevo Potosí. Though officially named “John F. Kennedy Airport” in 1965, that designation was never formally adopted. Since 1999, the airport has been officially known as El Alto International Airport.

Sierrasim's new add-on includes detailed ground textures, various airport objects, and an internal terminal model. The scenery features military hangars, custom jetways, and static traffic to enhance realism. Performance optimization is addressed through the use of Level of Detail (LOD) settings, and night lighting is implemented to reflect the airport's nocturnal operations.
