SLH Sim Designs Releases John A. Osborne Airport

In the late 1990s, the picturesque Caribbean island of Montserrat faced a devastating natural calamity. The eruption of the Soufriere Hills Volcano rendered the island's sole airport, W.H. Bramble, inoperative, severing Montserrat's air connectivity with the outside world. For nearly a decade, the island remained accessible only via helicopters, boats, and seaplanes, its isolation profoundly impacting its economy and way of life. SLH Sim Designs has now recreated the historic John A. Osborne Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator. This latest addition to their portfolio invites virtual pilots to experience the beauty and resilience of Montserrat firsthand.

The developers have recreated the airport, from its terminal building to the details of the tarmac and taxiways. SLH Sim Designs has employed 4K PBR textures and includes crafted terrain elevations and realistic ground texturing. Animated airport staff, vehicles, and wildlife populate the scene, creating an authentic and lively atmosphere that captures the essence of a Caribbean aviation hub.
