Trending in February 2021 - Top #5 Picks of Microsoft Flight Simulator Add-Ons

There are plenty of add-ons for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Here is a quick look at some of the mods that were particularly popular with you last month, February 2021. If you don't have them yet, it might be worth taking a look!

1. Pushback Helper - 48K Downloads

Pushback Helper was released back in September, but this tool made by metindikbas apparently still enjoys great popularity to this day. In the meantime, it has also received several updates. Pushback Helper makes the pushback process much easier and less frustrating, as you simply need to run the tool from which you can start, stop and control the pushback operation with ease. This makes it unnecessary to tediously contact and communicate with ATC. With its latest update, you can even call Jetways and Fuel Trucks, without need of using the ATC menu. It can also be used to control aircraft doors. Simple tool with simple interface, yet effective and a must-have for frequent flyers.

2. Flight Recorder - 8K Downloads

If there's one thing Flight Simulator fans want, it's a replay function. Who wouldn't want to watch his or her landings from different angles? Well, with Flight Recorder by nguyenquyhy this is now possible. Recording starts and ends with the click of a button. Afterwards, one can replay his or her own flight. At least as long as Asobo does not yet provide an in-house functionality, Flight Recorder is extremely practical for capturing and rewatching beautiful moments in Flight Simulator. It even supports changing the playback speed. However, it must be mentioned that the tool comes with some limitations. You can read more about this in the description of the add-on itself.

3. Airbus H135 Helicopter Project - 8K Downloads

Wait a minute... Helicopters in Microsoft Flight Simulator? That's not possible! Well, it is, as PharaohSteve, Davux3 and Destroyer121 have proven with their Airbus H135 Helicopter Project. And it looks amazingly good, too. Actually, one would think that helicopters should belong to every flight simulator out of the box. Since Asobo seems to have missed this here, the Airbus H135 Helicopter Project was created, bringing a Airbus H135 to game. But beware: While it is quite playable, it is not yet a fully finished product.

4. Dassault Dornier Alpha Jet - 12K Downloads

The Dassault Dornier Alpha Jet is a light attack jet and advanced jet trainer co-manufactured by Dassault Aviation of France and Dornier Flugzeugwerke of Germany. It was developed specifically to perform trainer and light attack missions, as well as to perform these duties more ideally than the first generation of jet trainers that preceded it. Thanks to BlueMesh, this aircraft is now also available completely free of charge in Flight Simulator. Still in an alpha version, but definitely worth a look!

5. TBM930 Improvement Mod - 9K Downloads

The Socata TBM 900, now marketed as Daher TBM900, is a single-engine turboprop-powered aircraft manufactured by the French company Daher. With his Improvement Mod, Mugz improves the flight characteristics of this aircraft not only insignificantly. There are a lot of improvements in terms of flight dynamics, but also new features that affect systems of the aircraft and make them significantly better than the standard version of Asobo.

A lot more to discover!

In February 2021, well more than 1000 new mods were uploaded to Flightsim.to. The above selection is very limited, but it shows which add-ons were most in demand last month. That doesn't mean there aren't many more to discover! We didn't even mention MSFS Addons Linker, Discus-2b Glider or LukeAirTool for example. So, keep your eyes open for the great work all those creators are doing here on a volunteer basis.
