Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport, commonly referred to as Porto Airport (LPPR), is a major international gateway located in Porto, Portugal. As the second-busiest airport in the country, it serves as a vital hub for airlines like easyJet, Ryanair, TAP Air Portugal, and TAP Express. With a history dating back to 1945, the airport has evolved significantly, even earning the Airports Council International's "Best Airport in Europe" award in 2007 and securing top rankings multiple times thereafter.

The freeware add-on for LPPR created by Pedro Martins significantly enhances the default autogen version, incorporating custom buildings, realistic ground textures, and lighting systems, all created with meticulous research and even on-site visits. The add-on features custom-built airport terminals and related structures, accurate ground markings and taxiway signage, full lighting enhancements, and an animated radar building. Additional elements include approach and VASI lighting, clutter, and props to enrich the airport’s environment.

The most recent update Version 1.5 further refines the airport with improvements such as new terrain elevations compatible with City Update 7, updated infrastructure like fuel farms and maintenance buildings, and new additions like car rental buildings, RVR transmissometers, and anemometer antennas. Lighting improvements, added streetlights, and enhanced clutter also contribute to a more immersive experience. This freeware add-on is fully compatible with the Iberia World Update VIII and requires the 40th Anniversary Update. However, it is not compatible with payware versions by MKStudios or TropicalSim.
