Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport (VAAH) in Ahmedabad has received a significant update. Serving the twin cities of Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar, this international airport is one of the busiest in India. Named after India’s first Deputy Prime Minister, the airport features a single 3,505-meter (11,499 ft) runway and serves both domestic and international flights. The default airport in the simulator lacked essential features such as accurate taxiway lines, gate spawns, and lighting. This custom rendition of VAAH addresses those deficiencies by incorporating precise taxiway markings, signage, and lighting, ensuring a more immersive experience.

The developer has handcrafted the terminal, added semi-glass transparent jetways, and implemented a dedicated service road for ground vehicles. In addition, the scenery includes all gates and parking zones accurately positioned according to Navigraph charts, with radio frequencies aligned to official charts. Ground textures have also been refined, with custom materials for more authentic ground markings and subtle details like dirt textures on taxiways.

The latest update - version 3.1 - introduces an official GSX profile for improved ground services, additional taxiway signs at runway exits for better guidance, and updated approach lighting systems reflecting official documentation. Further refinements include a more accurate runway end safety area (RESA) texture, realigned taxiways, and expanded apron sections to match real-world developments. The airfield is compatible with both Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024.
