Verticalsim has released a rendition of Southwest Florida International Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Located near Fort Myers, this airport is a key hub for commercial, cargo, and general aviation in southwestern Florida. Its single-runway configuration makes it one of the busiest single-runway airports in the United States, second only to San Diego International Airport (KSAN). The airport serves a wide range of aircraft, from GA props to large airliners such as the Airbus A330.

The new release includes an updated 2025 airport layout and models the terminal with a simplified interior to ensure performance. Airport buildings, hangars, and FBOs are fully modeled with accurate textures and PBR materials. The surrounding area, including Skypark, has also been modeled to add context to the airport environment. You will find custom aerial imagery, taxiway signage, and airfield lighting, which aim to reflect the real-world layout.

The package supports all spawn types, from helipads and GA stands to airliner gates. An official GSX profile by US Profiles is expected to be released soon to complement ground service operations. Verticalsim's ⭐ Southwest Florida Airport is now available on Flightsim.to.
