virtualFRA updates EDDF - Frankfurt Main International
Frankfurt am Main Airport (EDDF) is one of the busiest airports in Europe, serving over 70 million passengers annually. Located in the city of Frankfurt, Germany, EDDF is a major hub for Lufthansa and other international airlines, connecting passengers to destinations all over the world. Community Creator virtualFRA has updated their EDDF scenery on Flightsim.to.. The changelogs for the update are extensive and include a variety of new additions, changes, and improvements to the scenery.
One of the major changes is the addition of ground service parking areas on the east side of the airport. Another significant addition is the Airport Spotterpoint Zeppelinheim, which allows users to view and take pictures of the airport from a unique perspective. virtualFRA has also added several new buildings to the scenery, including fuel tanks, the Fra Lounge, and airport buildings to the east of Terminal 2. Additionally, new parts have been added to Terminal 1, specifically for Lufthansa. These new additions help to make the airport feel more complete and realistic, allowing for a more immersive experience.
Custom runway touchdown markings have been added to improve the accuracy of landing, and missing gates C15 A/B C16 A/B have been added as well. Stand signs and light poles have been added to gates V94-97, and an airline parking code has been included for additional accuracy. In terms of fixes and improvements, virtualFRA has addressed several performance issues and fixed the placement of jetways. The developer has also improved anti-aliasing for Terminal 2, reducing jittering and enhancing overall visual quality. Based on user reports, virtualFRA has fixed the Asobo windsock issue, added the missing taxiway line Y5 to S, and added a dummy parking deck P53 for tower view to RW 25R.
