Vortex Scenery Releases Inhambane Airport

Vortex Scenery has released a detailed recreation of Inhambane Airport (FQIN), which brings one of Mozambique’s coastal gateways to life in Microsoft Flight Simulator. The real-world Inhambane Airport, located in Jangamo District within Inhambane Province, serves as a regional hub for travelers heading to the country’s scenic Indian Ocean resorts.

The new rendition by Vortex Scenery enhances the airfield with custom-made 3D models, realistic night lighting, and animated ground activity, including moving people that add a sense of liveliness to the small airport environment. The developer notes that the scenery has not yet been tested in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, but it is expected to function without issues.

To experience the full range of visual detail, you will need several common freeware object libraries installed, such as Animated Humans, Ethnicfs Vegetation and Misc Objects, Windy Things, Emerald Object Library, Mikea.at AssetPack, and Superspud Airport Asset Library. These libraries provide additional static and animated elements like trees, flags, and clutter objects that enrich the airport’s atmosphere.

Inhambane Airport (FQIN) can be downloaded ➡️ for free from Flightsim.to. Vortex Scenery also maintains a Discord channel for updates and community engagement.
