Vortex Scenery Releases Port Sudan New International

Port Sudan New International Airport (HSPN) is now available for Microsoft Flight Simulator, released as a freeware scenery by Vortex Scenery on Flightsim.to. This airport, located approximately 20 kilometers south of Port Sudan, has served as Sudan’s primary international gateway since 1992, taking on an even more vital role since 2023 due to the ongoing conflict in the region. With its strategic importance and growing air traffic, Port Sudan is the country’s second-largest international airport and has been a full member of IATA since 2014.

The scenery aims to bring a detailed and immersive rendition of the airport to the simulator. It includes custom-made 3D models representing key airport infrastructure, realistic night lighting that enhances visual appeal during low-light operations, and moving animated characters to provide a sense of activity on the ground. While the core scenery is functional on its own, several libraries are required to fully enable features like flags, animated people, and ground clutter. These include well-known community assets such as the Animated Humans Library, Emerald Object Library, Windy Things, and various scenery packs by Ethnicfs and others.

As this is a freeware release, you are encouraged to support the creator with a donation if they find value in the scenery. You can find the add-on on Flightsim.to here.
